Hi! I’m Jenny. I’m a a fifth-year Ph.D. Candidate in the Information Science Department at Cornell University, where I’m fortunate to be advised by Malte Jung in the Robots in Groups Lab. Currenly, I’m a visiting research scientist with Honda Research-EU, working on building social human-robot interaction foundational model. Previously, I was a research intern at Honda Research Institute-US, a visiting researcher in the Social Technologies research group at Cornell Tech, working with Mor Naaman, and a visiting scholar at Brown HCI, working with Jeff Huang. I design and evaluate the impact of AI-mediated communication tools on people’s emotional and social well-being. With a training background in cognitive science and design research, I applied a wide range of in-person and remote research methodologies, from large-scale surveys to participatory design workshops. One of my current works examined how augmented reality glasses affect social interactions through a human-centered design approach.
As an undergraduate, I completed my honor thesis on moral emotion and judgments under the guidance of Bertram Malle at the Social Cognitive Science Research Lab. I also competed for Brown’s varsity fencing team.
